WELCOMING AND SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE

YOUTH INFORMATION CENTRE : LA MIJ!

(Maison Information Jeunesse)

The MJC Mosaïque-Centre Social supports young people aged 18–25 in their ‘life plans’ (employment, mobility, housing, CVs, cover letters, involvement in charitable organisations, etc.).

Working in partnership with the Val de Lorraine Local Mission, the municipality of Pompey, the Grand Est Region and the State, the youth coordinator organises initiatives to identify and engage young people in need of support.

BAFA TRAINING

The project involves, in partnership with the leisure organisers of the Val de Lorraine region, developing, implementing and monitoring a comprehensive BAFA training programme. The training approach proposed by Francas comprises three inseparable components, namely:

The establishment of a comprehensive BAFA training programme for supervisory staff at leisure and holiday centres, as well as at after-school clubs within the region.

Support for trainees throughout the training programme, particularly during the practical placement.

The provision of supplementary training courses to help enhance local educational initiatives.

The MJC Mosaïque-Centre Social offers to support two people per year in their efforts to obtain the BAFA qualification. The MJC Mosaïque-Centre Social may cover the cost of the training. Please contact the Children and Youth Coordinator for further information.
