BECOME A VOLUNTEER AT THE MJC MOSAÏQUE – SOCIAL CENTRE
Without them, without you, none of this would be possible!
Without the hard work and dedication of its volunteers, the MJC would not be what it is today and would not be able to operate.
Our volunteers are the heart of our Association, and we would like to thank them most warmly!
BEING A DIRECTOR
You are elected for a three-year term by the members of the MJC Mosaïque – Centre Social at the Annual General Meeting.
You will attend five Board meetings a year, at which the Board decides on the main directions of our Association.
You may also join the Executive Committee, which meets monthly to manage the day-to-day affairs of the association.
The Board of Directors comprises the Chair, Vice-Chairs, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer and directors.
All members are called upon at every event to lend a hand and represent the MJC Mosaïque – Centre Social.
RUN AN ACTIVITY
The Association runs around twenty activities, some of which are led by staff and others by volunteers.
These may take place weekly, monthly… They include sport, leisure pursuits and creative activities…
Do you have an idea for an activity?
Do you have a passion you’d like to share?
Come and meet us!
HELPING TO ORGANISE ACTIVITIES
Organising an event, running a refreshment stall, supervising a group of children, supporting the Local School Support Scheme (CLAS), carrying out small DIY jobs, putting up posters…
There’s always something to do at the MJC Mosaïque – Social Centre!
INCUBATOR FOR INITIATIVES
Supporting initiatives, active citizenship and voluntary engagement
As active citizenship lies at the heart of the MJC Mosaïque – Centre Social’s mission, the 2025–2026 season will feature themed discussion forums and collaborative project-building sessions designed to share ideas and to initiate and organise activities.
Open to anyone (members, parents, volunteers, partners and elected representatives) wishing to get involved in the life of the centre and bring the association’s mission to life, these forums enable everyone to get involved and provide support for initiatives from all stakeholders.
The operating procedures for the committees will be determined collectively, always in the presence of and with the support of a professional.
THE FAMILY COMMITTEE
It promotes initiatives to support parents (workshops, activities, shows, etc.).
THE YOUTH COMMITTEE
It plays a role in encouraging and supporting young people to achieve greater independence.
It also works to create conditions that foster self-expression, creativity and active citizenship, by organising events (exhibitions, debates, etc.) on social issues.
THE EVENTS COMMITTEE
It enables everyone to get involved in organising, running and following up on events organised by the MJC Mosaïque – Social Centre.
It is a place where all ideas are welcome.
THE CULTURE COMMITTEE
The members of this committee organise the cultural programme at the MJC Mosaïque – Social Centre
THE HOUSE COUNCIL
The House Council is a forum where members and contributors can have their say, share their views and gain a better understanding of what the MJC Mosaïque – Social Centre is and what it has to offer.
